About Us

 

Lauren danced with The Lexington Ballet in Lexington, KY for 13 years initially under the direction of Frank Galvez and Lucia Montero, and later under the direction of Luis and Nancy Dominguez.

​

Lauren has danced in multiple professional productions including: The Nutcracker, Danzonetta, Firebird, Swan Lake, Paquita, and others.

 

She has also attended various summer intensive programs with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, South Carolina Dance Conservatory, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Internationale, Lexington Ballet, and Governor's School for the Arts.



In 2007, she moved to Morehead as an incoming Freshman at Morehead State University and began teaching dance at Gym Dandys Gymnastics, Dance, & Fitness Center. Lauren started the dance program at Gym Dandys and taught there for 4 years before opening up the Morehead Dance Academy.

 

 

Lauren is married to her husband Ben and has two beautiful children, Preston and Kayden. 

 

This is Lauren's 6th year as the director of Morehead Dance Academy.
